Sponsored links in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok: a user guide

A browser extension can place its own sponsored link alongside an AI conversation without changing the prompt you send. payidle.com supports the web experiences for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok.com. The placement comes from the extension, independently of any advertising the provider may offer.

Choose sites deliberately

Enable access only for sites you use and trust the extension to operate on. Optional site permissions let you decide where the content script runs. Turning on one site does not mean you must enable every supported provider, and an enabled extension is not a reason to grant access to unrelated websites.

The supported names refer to specific website origins. A different domain, embedded frame or native desktop application may not be covered. This release is a desktop Chrome browser workflow; it is not a desktop companion app or a mobile advertising product. Check the installation page for current distribution instructions.

Recognize the intended placement

After a fresh prompt, a compact sponsor row can appear below the submitted message and above the response. It contains a small mark and linked text. The close button and options appear when you hover or focus the row. It should occupy its own space rather than cover another advertisement or a conversation control.

A retained card can remain after generation ends until you dismiss it or leave the conversation. This persistence does not imply ongoing billing. Qualified views have separate timing and focus requirements; an answer that finishes too quickly may leave a visible ad without creating a credit.

Troubleshoot without generating unnecessary prompts

First confirm the extension is enabled for the current site and sponsored moments are on. Refresh a tab after reloading an unpacked extension. Then try one normal prompt while the tab is in front. If the provider changes its page structure, the extension may withhold a placement rather than risk inserting it in the wrong location.

Not every missing ad is an installation failure. There may be no eligible campaign, an exhausted budget, a cooldown, a daily limit or an unfocused browser. Do not repeatedly submit prompts to force delivery. Check your status and pause settings, then report a reproducible problem with the provider name and fixed error message rather than sharing private conversation content.

  • Confirm the exact supported website and site permission.
  • Refresh after an extension update.
  • Check pause, focus, caps and campaign availability.
  • Keep private prompts out of troubleshooting reports.
